His professional history includes leadership positions at Athersys, Zymeworks, and Alder Biopharmaceuticals, where he led global CMC and manufacturing operations.
Dr. Ranganathan’s expertise encompasses development and validation of complex biologics from pre-investigational new drug (pre-IND) stages through licensure and commercialization. With a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Loyola University Chicago, he has contributed significantly to regulatory submissions and scientific publications.
GeoVax is currently developing multiple innovative programs, including GEO-CM04S1, a next-generation COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 2 clinical trials, and Gedeptin®, an oncolytic solid tumor gene-directed therapy. The company is also progressing GEO-MVA, a vaccine targeting Mpox and smallpox.
