Angkor Resources Corp. has reported promising results from a ground magnetic survey conducted on its Andong Bor copper-gold license in Cambodia, revealing potential mineralization zones that could indicate substantial resource opportunities.
The technical team’s comprehensive survey, completed in early 2025, utilized 49 survey lines spanning between 2,200 and 2,700 meters in length, spaced 100 meters apart. The data collection method, which captured measurements every 1.5 to 2.5 meters, enabled precise identification of subsurface geological features.
Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration for Angkor, highlighted the survey’s significance, noting that the magnetic data closely matches existing geochemical data. This correlation suggests the potential for identifying additional mineralization zones through careful magnetic interpretation.
The survey revealed several critical zones of interest, with Zone C emerging as the highest priority target. This zone, which includes previously drilled holes ADBDDH16-005, 007, and 008, demonstrates a ring-like magnetic structure with promising characteristics. The 2D models indicate these magnetic features extend 300 to 500 meters in area and range 100 to 150 meters in depth.
Subsequent zones, including A1 and A2, present complex magnetic responses with potential for shallower mineralization. These areas exhibit sharp structural breaks and are likely less than 100 meters deep. Zones B, D, and E show lower amplitude magnetic features with estimated depths exceeding 250 meters.
The survey builds upon previous exploration efforts, including a 2022 confirmation of 108 meters of 0.53% copper equivalent at the site. Angkor holds a 20% carried interest in the license, with its Canadian partner CanBodia Copper Corp. funding advancement efforts.
