Four Utah life sciences companies have been honored at the annual BioUtah Pitch Competition, demonstrating the state’s growing prominence in healthcare innovation. The competition, held during the 2025 Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur & Investor Life Sciences Summit, awarded winners in medical devices, therapeutics, and digital health categories.
Demeter and RefloDX claimed top honors in the Medical Devices and Diagnostics groups, while Sethera Therapeutics won in the Therapeutics and Pharmaceuticals category. Monere took the Digital Health and Biotechnology prize. Each winning company received a $4,000 cash award, marketing services from Serfwerks, and a one-year BioUtah membership.
Selected from an initial pool of 37 applicants, twelve companies participated in a shark-tank style pitch competition judged by a panel of three experts.
