FinServ Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting emerging talent in financial services, has named Samantha Allen as its new Mentorship Program Director. Allen, currently Executive Vice President of Marketing at Merit Financial Advisors, brings over a decade of industry experience to the role.

The foundation’s mentorship program aims to empower NextGen leaders through comprehensive professional development strategies. By providing two years of group coaching, a six-month structured mentorship program, and conference experiences, FinServ Foundation supports approximately 600 Fellows across more than 40 colleges and universities.

Jamie Hopkins, President of FinServ Foundation, praised Allen’s appointment, highlighting her commitment to nurturing talent. ‘Mentorship is one of the best ways to help our next generation of leaders enter, thrive, and stay in this business,’ Hopkins stated.

Allen’s professional background includes senior marketing positions at prominent financial firms such as Carson Group, FiComm Partners, and TD Ameritrade. Her expertise in driving organic growth and fostering innovation positions her strategically to lead the foundation’s mentorship efforts.

She succeeds Kellan Brown, who developed the initial mentorship program before transitioning to Chief Operating Officer of 100 Women in Finance. Kate Healy, a FinServ Foundation Advisory Board member, acknowledged Brown’s foundational work in developing impactful mentorship resources.

The foundation’s mission extends beyond mentorship, offering scholarships and coaching to support aspiring financial services professionals. By creating structured pathways for career development, FinServ Foundation seeks to address industry retention challenges and cultivate a robust, diverse professional ecosystem.

Allen expressed enthusiasm about her new role, emphasizing the transformative potential of mentorship: ‘The financial services industry has shaped my life in so many ways, and I’m excited to give back by fostering the next generation of leaders through this incredible program.’
